On a scorching summer day, a pigeon flew high above the land searching desperately for water. The rivers had dried up, the ponds were cracked earth, and even the dew had vanished before sunrise.
Exhausted and parched, the pigeon spotted a glimmer in the distance—a rooftop water tank! With renewed hope, she swooped down, only to find the water level too low to reach.
But this pigeon was clever. Remembering a trick she once saw crows use, she began dropping small pebbles into the tank one by one. Slowly, the water rose until it reached her beak.
She drank deeply, rested in the shade, and then flew off—carrying not just water, but wisdom.
